Meet Dr Rachel Etzion, Dentist
“I was drawn to dentistry as an intersection between art and science. I have always wanted to work with people, but also wanted a trade, something that I could do with my hands that could be both a creative outlet and also always be of use to people.”
Education and Professional Development
Dr Rachel graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). To stay abreast of the latest in the field, she takes continuing education courses. She has particular interests in paediatric dentistry, preventative dentistry and general restorative dentistry.
Putting Nervous Patients at Ease
For Dr Rachel the most rewarding aspect of her job is helping patients relax and overcome their fears of dentistry. “As dentists, we are in a sensitive and trusted position, and the process of gradually rebuilding a patient’s confidence in dentistry and in themselves is one of the most fulfilling parts of the job.”
Outside of the Practice
When she’s not enhancing patients’ smiles, Dr Rachel loves cooking, reading and struggling over the cryptic crossword.
“I am so pleased to have joined a practice like Caulfield Park Dentists with strong values and a warm family feeling!”
